Bondi Breakers welcomes all new players aged between 5 and 9 to join our club and learn to play rugby. 

Registration includes:

  • SJRU minis rugby tournament

  • Match jersey, training t-shirt, hoody, shorts and socks

  • Easts Rugby Social Membership

  • Training field hire and equipment

  • Rugby AU Insurance

Age groups are based on the age your child turns in 2025. For example, a child turning 7 between 01/01/25 - 31/12/25 will be Under 7. While there is no Under 5 age group, children turning 5 in 2025 can still register to play in the Under 6 competition.

Both Under 6 & Under 7 age groups play tri tag, with no tackling.

Registrations for the 2025 season will open in December, with training commencing in late February/early March

REGISTRATION STEPS

2025 Registrations will open in December 2024. The training season will commence late February or early March 2025 (TBC).  Don't delay in registering, our teams fill up quickly!

Please complete steps 1 through to 6 of the registration process. Before you start

This page helps you register. Please read all instructions for each step before clicking any links.

‍Please have the following ready to go.

  • A current photo of your child (head shot)

  • Know the height and weight of your child

  • Know the shoe, shorts, and jersey sizes of your child

Once you have all of these handy, proceed with the steps below.

  1. Active kids voucher (players)

Obtain the Active Kids voucher number prior to registering with Rugby AU. You will need this voucher number during the registration process to use the voucher. Note: Redeemed NSW Active Kids Vouchers are non-refundable and non-transferrable, as per the terms set by the NSW Office of Sport.

Head to the Service NSW website to apply online.

2. Register/Retrieve WWC Number (All Volunteers)

If you are a Coach, Manager, Assistant Referee or Volunteer you will need to know your Working with Children (WWC) Number. You must have this number before you can complete your registration. To apply for a WWC Number please see this page on the Service NSW website.

3 Ready to register? Head to Rugby Xplorer

Please ensure once again you have all of information listed above. It is best to complete the entire registration process in one sitting.

This is an Australian wide registration system which is used by all clubs in Australia. When you are ready, open the Rugby Xplorer website. Follow the rest of the steps in this guide carefully as you proceed.

4. Setup registrations using Rugby Xplorer

Note: Make sure you log in using the email address you previously used for registration otherwise you will need to create a whole new account.

  1. At this point, yours and/or your children's name should appear if they played last season.

  2. If your child is new, or you are registering with a new email, you will be asked to create an
    account now.

  3. Create the account in your name, as the parent, then add all your children that are intending to play. Before you move on to registering into Bays, all of your children should be linked to your Rugby AU account.

5 Enter details using Rugby Xplorer

Registrations open early January. Please see the above notice for more info.

When you are ready to register, select one child and click NEXT. Enter the following details for each field.

  • Club Name

    Bondi Breakers JRUFC

  • Click NEXT

  • Registration Role

    Players

  • Registration Type

    XV Juniors

  • Duration

    Season

  • Click NEXT

  • Personal Details

    Add in or accept

  • Click NEXT

  • Headshot

    Upload, the headshot must be PUBLIC, so click NOT PRIVATE.

  • Address, Gender

    Fill out, click CONFIRM, then NEXT

  • Emergency Contact

    Add in details, then click NEXT

  • Height & Weight

    Add in details

  • Click NEXT

  • Socks

    Only 1 pair

  • Shorts

    Only 1 pair

  • Jersey

    Only 1 jersey

  • Agree to Rugby AU Terms and Conditions, Click NEXT

    Payment Screen will now appear, annual fee is $330 per child (reduced with Active Kids Voucher).
    Please note there is a credit card surcharge of 2%.

    Click FINISH‍

If you have more children, or would like to register yourself as a coach or manager, please repeat this step.

6 Complete

You have now completed the registration process.Feel free to explore the Rugby Xplorer portal and ensure you and your child(ren) have all the correct details loaded. If you have any questions or need more help with the process, reach out to the club and we will be happy to help!
